Description
This is the first painting in my new series titled "The Couture Pet." This painting shows a Chihuahua dressed in a Juicy Couture shirt, with a painterly abstract background, which my budding two year old artist helped me create. I originally painted Marilyn Monroe on this canvas. When I didn't like the outcome, I handed it to my two year old to have at it with her finger paints. After my daughter finger painted over the canvas, I created a new piece of art over top of it. Once I began to paint, her finger painting repeatedly bled through to the surface, creating an interesting effect. I then created a soft texture to the background by adding fine sand as I painted. And, Viola!

Thank you, Lyric Lucas. Interesting story about the way I started this piece. My daughter created the background with fingerprints, I let it dry for 2 days outside and the most interesting fine cracks appeared, and I then painted the puppy over top of it.
